I think this is a good decision for Douglas-Roberts and he is definitely ready for the NBA. He was the best player all year long for the Tigers and really proved himself this season. Douglas-Roberts developed into a complete player and is now a serious threat from anywhere on the court. To me there seems no reason why CDR would want to return to Memphis because repeating the team success they had seems highly unlikely. In addition to Douglas-Roberts, the Tigers will be losing Rose, and seniors Joey Dorsey and Andre Allen. Even though Memphis will be adding a couple of the nation's top high school recruits I don't see they making it back to the championship game.

Chris Douglas-Roberts follows Derrick Rose to the NBA
Memphis first team all-american Chris Douglas-Roberts has declared for the NBA Draft, joining teammate freshman sensation Derrick Rose. Douglas-Roberts led the national champion runner-ups with 18.1 PPG, while adding 4.1 RPG. The Conference USA player of the year's most impressive stat all year though was his .541 FG% and hitting 41.3 percent of his threes. Unfortunately, Douglas-Roberts may be remembered for his missed free throws at the end of National Championship game, but CDR was one of the most athletic players this year in college basketball.
