Memphis guard Antonio Anderson has removed his name from the NBA Draft and will return to 2008 runner-ups for his senior season. Anderson said that he is withdrawing from the draft because he was a projected second-round pick, which was not high enough for him. Anderson, the Conference USA tournament MVP, averaged 8.6 PPG, 3.7 RPG, 3.4 APG and 1.2 SPG.Regardless of Anderson's return, Memphis was going to dominate Conference USA and win it easily. With Anderson coming back, it just makes them an even better team come tournament time. John Calipari, should be able to fill the holes left by Derrick Rose and Chris Douglas-Roberts with their recruiting class. Tyreke Evans, one of the best guards from the class of 2008, should fit perfectly into Memphis' system. Memphis is destined to be ranked in the preseason top 15 and a sweet sixteen appearance is likely.
